UR Splash Day

Splash Day 2020 has been called off due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. Stay tuned for Splash Days in coming semesters.

Every year, we invite high school students from around the Greater Rochester Area to the University of Rochester campus for a fun day of learning. As a Splash student, you will have the chance to get a taste of what a day in college is like by designing your own schedule for the day, picking from a catalog of classes, taking those classes all around the UR campus, and exploring the University campus in your free time. You will also get to interact with current undergraduates at the University. Food will be provided!

Splash classes are an hour long each, and are taught by students at the UofR. From dance to math to political science, we offer a large variety of courses. Some of the courses being taught at Splash Day 2020 are:

  • The Art of Dance Improvisation
  • Philosophy of Mind
  • Is War Ever Rational?: A Crash Course in International Relations Theory
  • Chemistry of Cooking

From music theory to neuroscience, from short introductory classes to more in-depth seminars, you get to decide what you learn! You can find a complete list of the classes being offered this year, check out our catalog.

Splash Day 2020 will be held on Saturday, March 28 at the University of Rochester campus. You can register as a student here!
