DAVID MARSHALL, Senior BA music- audio and music engineering track

Brief Biographical Sketch:

David has lots of experience in the recording/mixing studio producing songs and albums as well as performing research. In his time at U of R, David:
-produced a short-film score
-recorded three songs now professionally published on CD
-composed, performed and produced his own album of RAV Vast drum music
-presented independent research on how bronze and iron bell clappers affect U of R's carillon bell frequency spectrum
-transcribed [art of an early renaissance manuscript into a musicology critical edition
Apart from recording, David is passionate about sacred music and choral conducting which he plans to pursue in the MMSM program at Notre Dame this coming Fall.

E15: Intro to studio recording arts in Splash Spring 2019 (Mar. 30, 2019)

Learn how music goes from source to full digital production in one of U of R's recording studios. It will include hands-on activities and a recording/mixing demonstration. Students will work as a team to set up and run a recording/mixing session. Come ready to lay down some tracks to take back with you!
